Above, I present for your approval the first page of DR. WTF!?- FEAR OF THE DARK, my colourful collaboration with up and coming scribe Jazz Woods. This tale is set in the 1980s and I had a whale of a time slotting in somewhat malformed cameos of some of my favourite 80s icons. The first panel features Duran Duran's Nick Rhodes, an idiot in a hat and a female Boy George-a-like, as well as my own VINNY BYE BYE. Albino Punk approves! In the final panel Hariboz's bizarre walk is a tribute to Robert Crumb's iconic Keep On Trucking cartoon and symbolizes the fact that he is ON DRUGS!!!!!
I envy your sense of depth - it would have been really easy to make the nightclub scenes look too cluttered, but the use of those flat reds keeps things nice and clear. Basically - wish I'd thought of that, may have to nick it).
The last panel on this page is also a cracker, perfectly composed.
